Ouse and Nidd Work Parties

Over the past few months a small band of intrepid volunteers have been clearing swims along the Nidd and Ouse in preparation for the start of the river season today. On the Nidd work has been carried out at Skip Bridge, Tockwith and Moor Monkton, and on the Ouse at Beningbrough. Hopefully this will encourage more anglers to get down on these stretches, and more footfall will also help keep the swims clear of vegetation. We would like to give our hearty thanks to Dave Maddison for organising the work parties, and to Gavin, Mike, James, Stephen, Neil and Alex for their help and hard graft….it really is appreciated!
