New Blood?

Any angler who wishes to “give something back” to the Amalgamation, and to reduce the average age of the Committee (hopefully, young up and coming officials) we would love to hear from you……“Some of us are getting a bit long in the tooth”.

The General Purposes Committee (GPC) has a maximum of 20, members of which are elected in accordance with the parameters as shown in the Rule Book under “General Meetings”. Presently, there are a number of vacancies on this committee. Members who are interested, forward looking, full of ideas, relish a challenge and willing to get ‘stuck in’ are asked to let any of the Trustees know of their interest.

Any member who wishes to be involved in the organisation of YDAA is invited to submit an application showing the following:

Name, address, age, membership number and physical ability.

Also would they show what skills they could bring to the Amalgamation in the improvements to waters, physical, mental and planning. Information regarding usage of tools and equipment, and applications for grants (filing in of forms, etc) would also be appreciated.

Applications should be forwarded to the General Secretary for consideration, with those selected to be co-opted on to the GPC, permanent positions being ratified at the following A. G. M. (2021 as 2020 has been postponed due to Coronavirus restrictions).

Accepted members will be expected to have an attendance record of at least 50 % each year unless the GPC determines that special circumstances apply. GPC meetings (and or other sub committee meetings) are held bi-monthly, GPC also being each month in September October and November.
