NEJAC (New Earswick Junior Angling Club)
The club runs both a beginners course (usually in late spring each year) and a Junior Angling Club (potential members must attend the beginners course BEFORE being eligible for membership). All equipment is provided for beginners, and there is a small charge for each session.

York Angling Association
York Angling Association has a long established Junior Angling section. The club offers a series of matches on evenings in the Summer months, with parents being invited to stay with their youngsters to enjoy the tranquil environment. Venues are chosen where access to the water is regarded as safe, and where no youngster is out of sight of the adults supervising them. Care for fish and the environment are emphasised and youngsters are taught to handle fish with respect and regard for their welfare.
Other social activities are made available to our Junior Anglers, including attendance at the club’s Annual Dinner and prize giving, where every angler has his/her efforts recognised.
The Junior Angling section is led by two senior officers of the club, Chairman, John Collier, and Secretary, Dave Carr. Dave has 38 years experience as a Primary School teacher, qualified as an Angling Coach under the old National Anglers’ Council scheme and, of course, has undertaken full CRB checks.
