The YDAA control a stretch of the River Seven from the bridge downstream to the River Rye. Access is from the upstream end at the bridge.

A classic small stream, containing all types of species, from native Brown Trout, to Grayling, Dace Chub and Pike. The fish may not be of record-breaking size but can be a challenge of watercraft in such small a water. Ideal for trotting with a centerpin, light floats and maggots, but will also produce to the fly, with dead baits for Pike. Camouflage is the key. If you like a trolley and a box full of gear, this venue is not for you. It is a roamers paradise. The fish are often seen in low summer water and can give great sport.
Travelling from York, take the A64 to Malton then the A170 to Pickering. Turn Left towards Kirby Misperton follow the signs for the ZOO. Go straight passed the zoo entrance then turn left at the T-junction and sharp right to the bridge. Limited Parking is adjacent to the Bridge. Please do not block the farm gates.
