River Closed Season

Members are reminded that the ‘close season’ for angling on our rivers has already begun, running from 15th March to 15th June, both dates being inclusive, unless the water has been designated a “game fishery”, when it may be fished on a separate permit (at the moment on York waters there is a waiting list for these permits). All our ponds and canals, including the Aire & Calder canal remain open during this period.
