Clubs have resumed match fishing and, in doing so, they agree to ensure that they, and their members abide by the guidelines produced by the Angling Trust. Should any reported breech of the guidelines be reported to us all bookings for that club will be immediately suspended pending an investigation and possible disciplinary action. (We are aware of reports that people are taking photos of anything they feel is contrary to the guidelines and sending these to HSE or other government bodies.) Note: There are no extra pegs available to be booked on our stillwaters to ensure social distancing, Club Secretaries should ensure that they only take bookings for the number of ‘safe pegs’ available.
Open Matches
After a successful test run Open Matches are resuming from 12 July. To book on use the contact Mick Potter 07890870551
Veterans
Members over the age of sixty will be able to fish the first of this year’s Veteran’s Matches at Laybourne Lakes on Wednesday, 8th July.
Those wishing to fish should in the first place telephone Dave Carr on 01759 304176 or 07512 148 574 to book a place.
The match will be strictly limited to 26 anglers, so that we fish alternate pegs.
Anglers should meet no earlier than 12:30, and be prepared to pay their entry fee [£4], and the optional pool [£3,] if feeling giddy, at the gate, where their peg will be drawn. They should then proceed directly to their peg, and maintain social distancing at all times.
Full rules are available on the website, and will be clearly displayed on the day.
The protocols under which these matches will be run, will remain under constant review by the Trustees, and may be altered at their discretion, if and when the incidence of Covid-19 changes, and if and when Government Guidelines are amended.
