We would like to inform the membership that the following improvements to fisheries have been taken during this year of on/off fishing and restrictions in what we were able to do. We would like to thank those involved in making these improvements happen for all their hard work.
Donkey Woods/Fulford/Palace Ings – maintenance and creation of more pegs on these waters.
Naburn – acquisition of water and creation of pegs below the lock plus improving the pegs above the lock.
Hemingbrough Pond – clearing pegs around the pond.
Laybourne Lakes – continuance of maintenance all three pools, with our contractor. Regular Tuesday morning work party, with plans to extend this initiative to other waters.
Park View Lake – continuance of maintenance via our contractor.
Tockwith – agreed a water-share with Wetherby & District A. C, gaining more water to fish.
Selby Canal – creation of fishing places at the following points :
- Brayton Bridge, eight pegs
- Burn Bridge, eight pegs
- Paperhouse Bridge, eight pegs either side
- West Haddesley, nine pegs.
Locked waters – maintenance of locks, some of which appear to be the result of vandalism.
