Once again the gate at this venue has been left open. A number of anglers were checked on 22nd March by a bailiff, all denying that they had left the gate open. When the bailiff left, he was following four anglers who had left shortly before him, the gate still being left open. The object of “locking” these waters is to protect the fishing for the membership, and to prevent non-members and others from gaining access. It is imperative therefore, that all members, when visiting ‘locked’ waters ensure that gates are opened by them and when they have passed through they make sure that the gates are again ‘locked’. It only takes a few moments of your time, and you are protecting your waters from trespass, even theft or worse.
UNLOCK AND LOCK GATES BEFORE AND AFTER PASSING THROUGH!!
