Illegal Gardening

We recently received three photographs of a very comfortable peg that had been dug out approximately 100 yards above Kexby Bridge. Obviously, the angler had put in a serious amount of work to prepare himself for a fishing session. Unfortunately this is not a thing that we do, especially on a river such as the Derwent which is subject to S.S.S.I. status. Whilst it is acceptable to “level” an area for a box to be stable, this wholesale removal of a section of the riverbank is not acceptable and should not be done.

Anyone seeing this damage to the bank is asked to report it a committee member immediately.
