A report has been received that left in this peg were two carp ‘bolt rigs’ with treble hooks, baited with hair rigged sweetcorn. Adjacent were two cellophane bags. The inference from this is that the intention was to remove fish from the pond, possibly for the table. This is totally illegal, and anyone caught carrying out this kind of act will face severe disciplinary action, whether a member of York Amalgamation or not.
Any member witnessing such illegal activities should immediately report the facts to the Trustees of the Amalgamation, so that the perpetrators may be apprehended and ‘brought to book. Another instance of ‘look after your fishing’……appreciation is recorded for the person reporting this incident.
