After some delicate negotiations we are pleased to announce that the club has secured a long-term lease for a local Lake many of you will know called Villa farm Pond. It is located just north of the ring road on the Wiggington Road on the right-hand side as you leave the city.
Several rules are included in the conditions of the lease. See the main site board for the full rules but keys ones are below. It will be patrolled on a regular basis and if you break the rules, you will be reported.
- Members only no Day tickets.
- Fishing from 07.30 to Sun set.
- Gate to be closed and locked after entry and exit.
- No speeding down the track to the lake
- Park at right angles in the designated parking areas.
- DO NOT DRIVE ACROSS THE GRASS.
- No Keepnets
- All Landing nets MUST be dipped in the tanks before fishing.
- No fish to be handled no more than 2 feet from the ground at any time
- All fish must be lifted from water with a landing net – one landing net per peg
- All fish MUST be returned to the water. If this is not adhered to PROSECUTION will take place without exception.
- Unhooking mats must be used for large fish.
- Barbless Hooks (Max size 10), Maximum line 10lb,
- No method feeders, fixed feeders or leads. Rigs must be free to run on the line.
- All fish must be handled with care and consideration.
- Fish should not be retained by any method or for photographs for more than 10 minutes.
- Anglers can only fish with one rod and line from a marked peg.
- No poles or whips are allowed at any time.
- No angler under 12 allowed on this water.
- No dogs except assistance dogs.
Banned baits:
- Sweet corn
- Peanuts, tiger nuts,
- Cat and Dog food,
- No floating baits.
