Stamford Bridge

It is with some regret that we have to report the loss of fishing under our jurisdiction at Stamford Bridge. The length of fishing involved is for a distance of 155 metres on the left hand bank. We still have the fishing rights on the second and third fields, access to which is via the public footpath from the car park on the top of the river bank. Your Trustees made a number of ‘bids’ for the stretch, but unfortunately the vendors of the water have accepted what is described as a more substantial offer, somewhat in excess of what we deemed to be acceptable for what amounts to only six pegs.
