River Ouse Night Fishing

Instances of fishing at night are now being reported, particularly on the Ouse at Beningbrough Park where it is a condition of our lease that, for security reasons at the Hall, night fishing on the stretch is not allowed. Other areas on the Ouse where the ban is in force are Widdington, Poppleton Sellars’s and the Moatfield, Donkey Woods, and all Naburn and Acaster. The perpetrators are reported to be using a boat moored to the bank. As members you are entitled to challenge wrongdoers.
