Rawcliffe Lake….Anglers Litter

A strong complaint has been received from a local resident, who regularly collects and disposes of litter, including line and hooks from around the lake, and, recently, a bird allegedly with line hanging from its’ beak, the hook being ingested. Attempts to break the line proved unsuccessful, the bird flying off. Instances of the kind do not paint the angler in a good light, therefore as we have said again and again before, make sure that you remove all litter (of all kinds) when leaving your peg and don’t leave us open to such accusations of being litter louts, without care and thought for the natural environment, both flora and fauna.  

Treat the lake and the local residents with the respect that they deserve, and keep our noses clean!
