Representations have been made by the Trust regarding the security of the land and wish our membership to be reminded of the necessity for the gates to be locked “lock to lock” to ensure that all users have access when necessary, and that each time you pass through the gates the lock is secured (whether entering or leaving). Good co-operation means good neighbours.
Also in an effort to make it easier to get barrows through the gates, rod bags should be loaded “fore and aft” along your barrow, rather than across, a small thing but it means they do not need be unloaded and loaded again whilst passing through.
Finally, any instances of unruly behaviour or vandalism by persons using the riverbank should be reported immediately to YDAA Trustees for action to be taken against the perpetrators.
