Locks, Locks, Locks

We frequently get reports that locked gates at members only waters are repeatedly being left open. Members should be aware that this practice only encourages trespassers and vandalism. ALL locked waters should have their gates locked immediately after entering or leaving he venue.

Also, we regularly have to replace locks on our venues because they have gone missing. They are occasionally found discarded in the undergrowth, but more often than not they have been removed completely. To remove a lock you must be in possession of the code, so they have either been taken by an angler, or by a member of the public after an angler has left the gate open and the lock dangling in an open position. Having to replace locks is an expense we could do without, so please, as stated above, make sure all locks are secure as soon as you enter and after you have left a venue.
