Leases Renegotiated – River Rye and Beningbrough Hall

It is pleasing to report that the fishing at Newsham Bridge on the river Rye has been re-negotiated for a further two years, and the fishing rights at Beningbrough above (the Hall stretch) for a further two years. However, it should be noted that have the we no longer right to fish on the sandbed opposite the Nidd mouth. After consultations with the other parties involved, agreement was reached reluctantly for this and the responsibility for tidiness and unsocial behaviour now falls upon those who now have complete use of the area involved.
