Laybourne Lakes Potters Pool

We have been getting observations regarding the use of Potter’s Pool at Laybourne Lakes. The fencing was erected for the security of some of the larger carp, which were struggling in last Summer’s protracted hot weather in a very well stocked lake. High rates of evaporation and low levels of oxygen required prompt action to be taken. Work at Laybourne since has had to concentrate on the car park, the cabin and signage in order to meet deadlines set by the Angling Improvement Fund, who supported our aim to improve facilities for members. We are now approaching the time when the fencing can be removed and fishing can be resumed on Potter’s Pool. Members are asked to bear with us whilst we bring this popular water back into general use.
