Laybourne Lakes – Banned Baits

A regular visitor to the venue reports that litter is again becoming a prevalent item around the lakes, as is the case on some of our other still waters, despite requests for all rubbish found to be at the pegs to be removed and disposed of in an environmental and safe way.

The latest case in point is that a supermarket bread bag was left at Marley Pool indicating that an illegal bait was being used (assuming it was not used as container for the angler’s sandwiches).
Members are to be reminded that the following baits are banned at his complex :-

BANNED baits : Boilies, peanuts, tiger nuts, cat food, bloodworm, joker, bread, with sweetcorn only to used as a hook bait, NOT as a groundbait.
No floating baits : (Bread – not even for the feeding of the ducks).
Bait limits : Eight (8) pints of bait (a mixture of pellets, maggots, casters, meat, corn or hemp), and/or one (1) kilo of worms per match .
