Giant Hogweed On The Ouse and Nidd

As usual at this time of year Giant Hogweed in now present above the Nidd mouth, also along other stretches of the Nidd. Members are advised to always avoid contact with this weed, as the result of touching and getting liquid from it on the skin causes ‘burning’ sensations which are very painful, and in extreme cases necessitate hospital treatment.
