Derwent and Ouse Pollution

We have a number of reports of effluent and storm water overflows being discharged into the Ouse and Derwent. Unfortunately, it appears Yorkshire Water is allowed to do this under formal licence and the only action we can take is to report this and complain. If anyone does have concern about discharges or pollution, in the first instance report this to E. A. Incident Hot Line 0800 807060, thereafter writing to the “Press”, your local Member of Parliament or even a well-known pop star if you want things to change.
