Closed waters

Questions are still being asked of the Trustees as to the reasons and lengths of time that Sand Hutton Gravel Pits and Claxton Ponds are shown as “closed waters”. The reason is that whilst a great deal of work has been done at these venues, there is still work to do, and responses for attendance at work parties are usually very sparse. A huge amount of thanks is due to those who have already turned out to ‘get their hands dirty’, but there are still some projects to complete, therefore a result of this is that the waters will remain closed until further notice. Any news, or advice of the opening date for the ponds will be made in due course, through the Facebook and Newsletter channels.
