Members will be aware that certain difficulties have been experienced on this stretch for a little while. However, following a visit by the Trustees an amicable arrangement seems to have been arrived at. Members will see improvements over the coming months.

Members are requested NOT to night fish at Beningbrough Park, this is against the terms of our agreement with the National Trust. We would not support any YDAA member caught by N.T. staff to be breaking this agreement. Nor would our well behaved & responsible members be pleased if we were to lose this venue!

It is noted that certain anglers (and they have to be members) have been fishing at night on the lower half of the stretch, downstream of the Nidd mouth. Members are reminded that night fishing on the Park stretch is NOT allowed by instructions from the National Trust.
Appeals have been made for a better access to the fishery from the Hall (avoiding the cow controlling electric fence) but they are unable to help. However they have said to use the bungee-cord gate near to this entrance, but this <MUST be closed each time it is used.
