After restrictive changes to operational procedures, we only managed to run two Junior Open Matches this year. However, both events were well attended and the youngsters all had a good time and caught some fish. We are hoping to run three matches in 2025 so watch out for adverts over the next few months.
Pleasing to report this local junior club has made an application for funding and has received a four-figure sum from the “Get into Fishing Fund” to promote their efforts with the education of junior anglers, an encourage others to join them. Well done to their officials.

Every year the YDAA runs two Junior matches. This year, the first will be held on the River Ouse along ‘New Walk’ in the city centre. The second is to be held on our Laybourne Lakes Complex, on Browns Pool.
The AGM approved the notice of motion that one free Junior membership may be purchased by and for an immediate family member when they purchase their own adult membership. The purchaser will be held responsible for ensuring that the Junior member abides by YDAA rules.
