Every year the YDAA runs two Junior matches. The first is held on the River Ouse along ‘New Walk’ in the city centre. The second is held on our Laybourne Lakes Complex, on Browns Pool. The matches are free and open to all girls and boys between the ages of 8 and 16. The kids compete in two age groups, those in primary school and those at secondary school. All our participants come away with a fishing ‘goodie bag’, there are prizes for the winner in each age group for each match, and the young angler with the best aggregate weight across both matches will be crowned YDAA Junior Champion!

This years matches are taking place on the following dates:

Friday 22nd June

River Ouse ‘New Walk’

Draw : 5:00pm / Fish : 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Match 2

Saturday 21st July

Laybourne Lakes Complex, Browns Pool

Draw : 10:00am / Fish : 11:00am – 3:00pm

Due to pegging restraints at both venues, the number of entrants must be strictly limited to 24 for each match, and places will be issued on a first come first served basis.
