Welcome to the York & District Amalgamation of Anglers website. The YDAA was started in 1887 and now encompasses 20 individual clubs and has over 1400 members. We have access to over thirty stretches of prime Yorkshire river fishing on the Yorkshire Ouse, Derwent, Nidd, Foss, Rye and Seven; Pocklington, and Selby Canals; 11 miles of fishing on the Aire and Calder Canal and eight stillwaters, each with its own individual character. So, whatever type of fishing appeals you will find a water that will satisfy your needs. The association runs a busy match schedule throughout the year, including members, open and veterans matches on both our river sections and a few of our stillwaters.
From this site you can access details on all all our waters, including what species you may encounter, a few tips on how to catch them along with maps and directions on how to get there. You can chat about your angling exploits on our fully functional message forums, and even register to have the newsletter sent out to you automatically via email.
